Shadow Chancellor opens Dettingen House Nov 07
On the Friday 19 October 2007 The Shadow Chancellor, George Osborne MP, officially opened Dettingen House, the new headquarters of Beckett Investment Management Group and Insurance Risk Solutions Limited.
George Osborne and David Ruffley MP was given a tour of the building by Chris Barnes and Paul Chubbuck, the companies’ two Managing Directors, and met with members of staff.
Dettingen House is a two-storey purpose-built building encompassing the latest ecologically friendly lighting and heating systems and houses more than 120 employees.
“Beckett Investment Management Group is a fantastic asset to Bury St Edmunds” said David Ruffley “and I am delighted that the Shadow Chancellor, George Osborne, was able to come here to officially open their new headquarters.”
“Beckett Investment Management Group is a major employer in our region and I am pleased that their new building incorporates the latest in ecologically friendly lighting and heating systems. It is of great importance that major companies take a lead in promoting environmentally sound building practices.
“I look forward to returning to Dettingen House in the future and hearing more of the fantastic work they do across the globe from their base here in Bury St Edmunds.”
